Reagents for Cellular Analysis
Cellular assays are essential to most modern research and drug development projects as they have the potential to provide more information than traditional end-point assays allowing scientist to make better quality judgements. This is especially true when the target bio-molecule is an intracellular molecule that modulates cellular responses.
GE Healthcare has developed a range of fluorescence-based tools for the analysis of cellular events. These reagents can be used in conjunction with fluorescence microscopes for screen development and research, and most microscopy-based imagers currently in use for medium- to high-throughput screening. As with all reagents for drug screening, these are amenable to automation. Some of the reagents use proprietary technology and are therefore sold, price inclusive of the license to use.
