UNICORN / OPC
The UNICORN™ OPC server is included in the standard UNICORN license. It provides a standardized integration interface to support integration between UNICORN and other software systems such as laboratory information systems (LIMS) and manufacturing execution systems (MES). OPC enables connectivity via open standards created in collaboration with a number of world-leading automation manufacturers, including Microsoft.
UNICORN integrated with OPC offers:
- Minimized implementation time and cost for integration with DCS
- Simplified validation with integration of electronic batch record
- Partial batch recipe integration
UNICORN supports the following OPC standards:
- Security
- Data Access (DA)
- Alarms & Events (A&E)
- Historical Data Access (HDA)
