Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

What products do you have for protein arrays?
The first products are Cy3 and Cy5 mono-reactive dye packs for protein arrays (mono-NHS esters). Additional products including labelling protocols, slides, software and instrument recommendations are under development.

Assuming we go for a planar array format, we have a spotter and a scanner, so all I need is fluorescent dyes and protocols. Can you supply these?
Yes, CyDye fluors are already the label of choice for protein arrays, and are now available in a format designed specifically to meet the needs of the protein arrays researcher. Click here for more information.

Does the Lucidea™ Slidepro Automated Slide Hybridizer work for protein arrays? If not, do you have plans to optimise it?
It has been optimized for DNA arrays, and it is currently being evaluated for protein arrays.

What do you see as the needs for data analysis / software development?
The biggest need is for statistically, accurate differential expression profiling software. We also have the potential to link into other forms of data, such as 2-D DIGE data, DNA array data, via our proprietary ScierraTM software platform.
