Types of radioisotope labels
The Custom Label Service offers a wide range of labeling methods: from simple labeling techniques for drug discovery and research to labeling the core of a molecule for ADME studies. Our dedicated custom labeling experts provide GE Healthcare with a clear lead in expertise and experience in labeling:
Which label is appropriate for your needs?
Carbon-14
Carbon-14 is the isotope of choice for labeled products in most pharmakinetic and agrochemical studies. It allows core labeling, rather than peripheral labeling of the molecule of interest, thus ensuring integrity of the label during your ADME investigation.
Visit the carbon-14 page to find out more.
Tritium-labeled
tritium -labeled isotpoes are used in screening, discovery and ADME. They offer a higher specific activity than carbon-14 and a longer half-life than Iodine-125.
Visit the tritium page to find out more.
Stable isotopes
Are used as mass spec standards for ADME studies, Isotopic abundance is critical.
Visit the Stable Isotopes page to find out more.
