Oligonucleotide synthesis and purification
This practical workshop is consisting of two parts, SYN1s and SYN1p, that provides the knowledge required to design and optimize a complete process for the chemical synthesis and work-up of synthetic oligonucleotides (ODN).
For practical reasons the workshop is split in two parts, one concentrating on the synthesis and the other on the workup and purification. Both parts can be either attended individually or together in a four to five day full workshop.
The main focus of the workshop is set to describe in depth each individual step of the production process for ODN like synthesis, deprotection, purification, desalting, and analysis. Furthermore regulatory and GMP issues will be covered to allow for better facility and process design.
Oligonucleotide synthesis (SYN1s)
- Oligonucleotide synthesis using an ÄKTA™ OligoPilot system
- Cleavage and deprotection of oligonucleotides
Duration: 2 × ½ day
Course code: 44-8000-34
Oligonucleotide purification (SYN1p)
- Workup of oligonucleotides
- Oligonucleotide purification by ion exchange or reversed phase chromatography
- Analysis of purified oligonucleotides or ionparing chromatography
Duration: 1 day + 2 × ½ day
Course code: 44-8000-35
