Phos SpinTrap Fe for selective enrichment of phosphorylated peptides

Phos SpinTrap Fe for selective enrichment of phosphorylated peptides
  • For enrichment of microgram quantities of phosphopeptides from digests of cell culture lysates, somatic fluids, and tissues with excellent reproducibility.
  • Improvement and simplification in identification of phosphorylated proteins by mass spectrometry (MS).
  • Increase in the identification hit rate by MS, typically from 1% to 50%.
  • A flexible protocol that is easy to adapt and optimize for different analyses.
Phosphopeptides bind specifically to iron on Fe Sepharose™ 6 Fast Flow medium in Phos SpinTrap™ Fe, while nonphosphorylated peptides and other contaminants are eluted in the flowthrough. This simple enrichment process is suitable for preparing samples of sufficient purity and proteome coverage for confident and comprehensive identification of phosphopeptides by MS.

The addition Phos SpinTrap Fe to the Trap platform extends the portfolio of products designed for convenient, small-scale preparation of protein samples for downstream analyses. Performance tests show that this product offers the highest standard of sample purity and level of enrichment, excellent reproducibility and is readily adaptable to many different analyses.
