Challenging Proteins Workshop, Paris 2005

The European Workshop on Challenging Proteins was run in conjunction with the 3rd European Contest for Young Scientists. The event was held in Paris and was the third in the successful European Workshop series. It focused on the expression and purification of challenging proteins – membrane proteins, protein complexes, and insoluble proteins – for structural and/or functional studies.

The study of these complex and vital biomolecules is important for our understanding of enzymatic, structural and regulatory functions, as well as for their potential as pharmaceutical targets. Here you can find abstracts, posters and presentations from the event.

The event also concluded in a Special edition of the International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, (15 August 2006), being produced by Elsevier. You can access these abstracts from IJBiomac 39/1-3 online.
